Dyno test
The technical solution recommended by NORFI during inertial and load tests in dyno test stands
Exhaust gas extraction at high speed
Simulation of road conditions during engine dyno testing requires accelerating the car to a specific speed to make the test results reliable. The dyno test conditions must simulate the operating conditions of the engine of the tested vehicle during actual driving.
Unlike the conventional method of attaching standard exhaust nozzles to the exhaust pipe, NORFI’s solution stands out with its movable exhaust arms and non-contact nozzle. This innovative approach supports most exhaust system pipes available in Europe, making it a versatile and effective choice for engine dyno testing.
The arm positioning system, equipped with gas actuators, plays a crucial role in maintaining the stability of the nozzle. This ensures that the engine’s operation is not disturbed, allowing the employee to effectively monitor the quality of exhaust gases escaping from the engine.

High-temperature resistance goes hand in hand with efficiency
Carrying out tests at the measuring station results in increased emissions of car exhaust fumes with temperatures exceeding the values of the classic test during vehicle diagnostics.
The devices responsible for exhaust gas removal in the dyno test must keep up with removing exhaust fumes and ensure temperature resistance is safe for the extraction system, providing a reassuring safety measure.
NORFI extraction arms are equipped with a flexible extraction hose resistant to high temperatures (300°C or 500°C) and the harmful effects of chemical compounds in exhaust fumes. By meeting this condition, we ensure the second efficiency condition is met, instilling confidence in the system’s performance.
