This innovative concept was the driving force behind NORFI engineers' design of the underfloor exhaust extraction.
The removal of car exhaust fumes using traditional devices assumes that the exhaust elements are visible to both employees and customers of the workshop. In addition, hanging exhaust fumes take up space that may be needed for other service equipment. With our underfloor exhaust hood, this is no longer a concern, as it offers a discreet and space-saving solution. At NORFI, we offer two technical solutions used in authorized service stations and independent car workshops.

On floor system
The installation with a connecting hose is the most versatile version of an underfloor exhaust extractor. The number of hoses and nozzles is much smaller than the number of connection sockets, which significantly reduces investment costs. The hose with the nozzle is connected only to the socket that is currently being used. One hose can, therefore, be used to service several stations – of course, not simultaneously. Since the hose is not inserted into the pipe installation on the floor, there are no restrictions on the diameter of the hose used or on the selection of the extraction nozzle.
In-ground system
The in-ground system allows for the simultaneous use of all sockets. The hose hidden in the installation is always at hand and does not have to be moved from place to place. The disadvantage of the system is the limitation of the hose diameter and the size of the exhaust nozzle. They must be smaller than the diameter of the pipeline in which they must hide.

Underfloor exhaust extraction in vehicle factories
We recommend underfloor systems equipped with an exhaust arm or flap system for test stands in vehicle factories.
A moveable exhaust arm with an underfloor installation has sensors to detect vehicle movement on the stand.
A mobile underfloor exhaust flap system with sensors to detect the vehicle’s position on the stand.
