Immediate and Tangible Benefits for the Client
1
Our system eliminates the problem of toxic bus exhaust fumes in the hall, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.
2
We have ensured free work with the exhaust extractor switched on anywhere in the service station.

We have minimised the presence of exhaust fumes during the bus entry/exit by extending the rail channel to 16 m and using 7.5 m hoses, thanks to which the nozzle can be attached even in the light of the gate entrance.
4
Our system is designed for ease of use, with a simple manual operation that can be easily managed by any employee.
5
Our system allows for simultaneous work at all service stations without any loss of efficiency, giving you the confidence that your operations will run smoothly.
Client's business profile
The Client, ZEC, operates in Starachowice, providing services mainly in thermal energy. As part of its operations, ZEC runs public transport routes, having 21 bus lines serving over 900 stops in the city. The bus depot is equipped with buses from brands such as MAN, Mercedes, and Solaris, fueled with diesel oil and natural gas (CNG). The buses are equipped with a lower exhaust system.
Starting point
A new service facility was built on the premises of the Starachowice depot, equipped with three mobile service bays adapted to 12-meter buses. Diesel engines of serviced vehicles are running for diagnostic purposes, which means the presence of vehicle exhaust fumes in the working environment. According to the law in Poland, service and workshop facilities must be equipped with exhaust extractors that eliminate toxic chemical compounds from the workspace.
Client's expectations
The Client expected a technical solution to guarantee employees’ safe work and free from car exhaust fumes inside the hall. Additionally, the exhaust extraction system was to be easy to use so that each new or delegated employee would be able to start the system unassisted. An important element taken into account when choosing the solution was the system’s fit into the nature of everyday work and the hall space.
NORFI's solution
Knowing the Client’s expectations, we proposed the ALU 150 Rail Exhaust Extractor equipped with components with increased temperature resistance up to +200°C. Considering the total length of the vehicles being serviced, we extended the ALU rail channels to 16 meters (4 m longer than the bus) installed along the mobile service bays. Longer channels and 7.5-meter, flexible extraction hoses regulated by a balancer allow for the earlier connection of the nozzle to the exhaust pipe while still in the gate entrance area. The same applies to disconnecting the nozzle when leaving the hall. Two efficient fans complement the system mounted on the facade. The fans are started manually by the employee.
